Friends of the Library
Starting in November, the Friends of the RWC Library has its annual Holiday Book display, with loads of books to celebrate the holiday season and many books of excellent quality suitable for gift giving.  Visit early as the holiday and gift books sell quickly.

Meet at the Courthouse Square at 5:00 PM to join the procession to the Library.

Join a procession from the Courthouse to the Library to enjoy offerings, an altar, traditional dances and food.
Day of the Dead Day of the Dead with Sugar Skull Demonstration

Fair Oaks Library

Day of the Dead is a joyful commemoration of ancestors and a celebration of the continuity of life.  The event will include an altar offering; how the holiday is celebrated in different parts of Mexico and a demonstration of the art of making sugar skulls.
Sugar skulls will be available for purchase after the presentation for $ 4.00 each so participants can decorate their very own sugar skull

College Application Community Access College Counseling Program for Teens
Beginning November 2nd

Come for assistance with college applications or as freshman, sophomore or junior for help understanding how to begin the college search and how to best prepare yourself for college admissions. 
Monday and Thursday evenings from 3:00-6:00 p.m in the small meeting room on the 2nd floor.

A stroke occurs when a blood vessel in the brain is blocked or bursts. Without blood and the oxygen it carries, part of the brain starts to die. The part of the body controlled by the damaged area of the brain can't work properly. Brain damage can begin within minutes, so it’s important to know the symptoms of stroke and act fast. Quick treatment can help limit damage to the brain and increase the chance of full recovery. Join Sheryll Domingo, RN, BSN of the Neurosciences Department at Kaiser Permanente to learn more about stroke awareness.
